The area we are referring to as the Metrolina has gone by several other names, such as Centralina, the Greater Charlotte Area, Charlotte-Concord-Gastonia, Region J, Charlotte USA, etc.  But the fact remains, it’s the area that includes Charlotte, NC and “surrounding” areas.  It’s an area within the Piedmont region of the Southeastern U.S.  It’s gaining popularity, culture and business.

This tag cloud represents many of the areas commonly considered to be the Metrolina. We understand that a mere list of cities and towns does not provide the greatest “definition”.

We are interested in how you define the Metrolina.  We all have a general idea of where it is, but let us know in your own words what it is.
